Client was charged with one count of rape for an incident that was reported months after the alleged crime occurred.
After Leslie conducted pre-trial hearings challenging certain aspects of the State’s evidence, the State agreed to reduce the charge to a much lesser charge, so that Client would no longer be facing a possible life sentence.
Client received a first offender probation sentence with credit-for-time served. Once completed, the first offender sentence will permit Client to have a clean record without a conviction.
