Multi-Count Possession with Intent Case Dismissed, April 2025

Client was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and possession of other schedule I and IV drugs. Client was facing more than 60 years in prison if convicted.

Drugs were discovered by police after a search warrant was executed at the Client’s home. Client was the only person inside the home at the time of the search.

Law enforcement obtained the search warrant based on a traffic stop conducted against Client’s spouse, who was on probation at the time of the search. Right before police arrived at Client’s home, another person ran out the back of the house. State prosecuted Client, Client’s spouse, and the person who ran from the cops.

Leslie filed a motion to suppress. Rather than go through the motion, the State dismissed the case against the Client.
