Client was charged with a total of 9 different drugs and firearms in a multi-count, multi-co-Defendant Federal drug conspiracy case. Charges included 7 drug counts and 2 firearms counts, related to fentanyl, cocaine, and oxycodone distribution. Client pled not guilty in federal court. Leslie represented Client at trial.
Right before trial, the Government dismissed two counts: a possession with intent to distribute (PWID) schedule II controlled substance count and a related possession of a firearm during the commission of that PWID count.
Although the jury convicted Client of 5 counts, Leslie secured not guilty verdicts on a PWID cocaine count, and the related firearm count.
This saved Client from consecutive sentencing for the firearm count.
